One day after hosting the world to a day of teaching from space, Renda Fuzhong said goodbye to our International Curriculum Center’s (ICC) 2013 graduating class. The graduation ceremony was held in the same auditorium that, just days ago, held students who participated in China's first lesson from space.
It was a day to celebrate the accomplishments of the students and to wish them luck in their future studies abroad. All graduating students have successfully gained entrance to universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia. The graduation ceremony included moving speeches, songs and performances.
Amma Wang, ICC Center Director, said students graduating from RDFZ's ICC have "unlimited possibilities and an unlimited future." She encouraged the graduates to be thankful, appreciative and kind throughout the rest of their lives.
James Batten, ICC Center Academic Principal, reminded them that although the students were leaving, they would always be part of Renda Fuzhong and the ICC. He emphasized that the students should be internationally minded with a Chinese heart.
Valedictorian, Liliath Xu, thanked the teachers for providing engaging lessons and challenging her to accomplish more than she ever thought she was able to. She ended her speech humorously by wishing her fellow graduates to “live long and prosper.”
The ICC would like to congratulate our 2013 graduating class and wish them continued success in their journey to become the leaders of tomorrow.
